We offer professional and human support to those who live and coexist with HIV, with the aim of improving the quality of life of the people who request our services according to previously evaluated needs by Social Work.

Our main goal is to keep people in good health. Sometimes the economic conditions can make it difficult, that is why provide the following services or encourage contacts with institutions that can meet these needs:

  1. Accompaniment: When the interested person requests it, he or she is given advice and is accompanied for his or her integration into health services, medical appointments and laboratory studies, giving advice on basic and scientific information about HIV.
  1. In-kind support provided after a socio-economic study: A fortnightly food pantry for people who, because of their economic, geographical or health conditions, cannot earn enough money to have an adequate diet.Necessary clinical tests and/or medications which the person does not have access on his own and which are required for his complete attention and adherence to his treatment.
  1. Cultural and solidarity expression events: As part of a community of support that links experiences and people, we encourage the creation of spaces of coexistence by taking advantage of different annual symbolic celebrations, the days of the Boy and Girl, Mother, Father, Day of the Dead and Christmas, among others.Internally, a Eucharistic ceremony is held every first Friday of the year in our facilities, as well as the celebration of various institutional anniversaries.

We offer professional support services for the development of skills and potential of people guiding them in the construction of their life project, from awareness and acceptance of the condition of living with HIV in a positive way.

We have different spaces according to personal needs:

  1. Individual psychotherapy: aimed at personal and social growth.
  2. Groups and workshops:
    Objective:
    To create a safe and friendly space where participants can share and listen to experiences, build new ones and resignify their own, receive information, and create support networks in addition to emotional peer and professional accompaniment.

    Self Support Group:

    Aimed to women and men living with HIV. Fridays from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm

    Mariposa Women’s Group:

    Exclusively for women living with HIV. Thursdays (every 15 days) 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

    MSM Group:
    Exclusively for men who have sex with men and are living with HIV. Monday 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Through the Save Your Baby from AIDS program we focus on serving pregnant women living with HIV through a process that begins with promoting rapid testing and early detection of the virus. We then advise women on how to access treatment and medical services. We offer them accompaniment so that they adhere to the treatment and carry out the necessary actions for prevention.

The program has been totally successful, as to date 100 percent of the children who have completed the program have been declared totally free of HIV by the age of two.

For mothers registered in the program and for their babies we offer the following services:

  1. In-kind support: Clinical trials and medications not included in the Seguro Popular, pantries and baby essentials.
  1. Support with powdered milk: For a proper prevention at the time of breastfeeding, it is supplemented with powdered milk. we support new mothers during the first two years of life of the baby.
  1. Accompaniment: It consists of basic and scientific information services, accompaniment in person or by telephone, and integration with health services.
  1. Personal Development Workshops: Space where they learn and develop their human potential in their concrete circumstances, through which they build their Life Project. Thursdays every 15 days at 4:30 pm.
  1. Shelter: Temporary stay where they receive medical, nutritional and psychological monitoring, as well as dining and accommodation services, normally during quarantine, in a context free of discrimination.

We offer the following services for people living with HIV who require temporary housing free from stigma and discrimination

  1. Mesón del Peregrino: Space for people who live outside the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area and require temporary accommodation while they carry out their own activities for the care and attention of their health, such as: carrying out procedures, clinical studies, attending medical appointments, among others.
  1. Mother and Child Innl: Aimed at pregnant women or those who have just given birth, so that they can receive the necessary care for their health, both for themselves and their babies.

Diagnosis services for HIV and sexually transmitted infections. We offer you a safe and respectful space so that you can know your state of health, and if needed, assist you with care and treatment.

What is the service for detection of HIV and/or sexually transmitted infections?

We offer you a personalized space in which a specialized team offers support to solve doubts, evaluate risk practices and inform about what to do in the face of any result, emphasizing new self-care options.

The tests are performed with a few drops of blood taken from a finger; the samples undergo a procedure that takes a few minutes, providing reliable results.

In the case of a positive result, accompaniment is provided so that the person can be integrated into public health institutions and have access to treatment.
