OUR HISTORY
On July 25(1980), ElMesón de la Misericordia Divina A.C. was incorporatedas a civil association, ourfirst headquarters being an old farm on#232Mariano de la BárcenaST. At first it was supported by pantries, self-help groups and palliative care.

MISSION
To provide people living with HIV and AIDS and their families with comprehensive care, impregnated with love and respect of their rights and beliefs, that encourages decision making on issues that affect their lives. To play a proactive role in the social context by developing preventive programs, promoting initiatives that contribute to the re-signification of the idea of the virus, with a conception of life and hope. We are a safe, inclusive and respectful institution that prevents and treats people living with HIV and STD’s through multidisciplinary work, to strengthen their interpersonal ties, facilitate their social inclusion and improve their health-related quality of life.
VISION
We envision people with HIV and/or AIDS and their families taking responsibility for their health and acting as agents of change; a tolerant and inclusive society with responsible attitudes towards the epidemic which growth rate will decrease; and ElMeson as an organization with a pioneering, replicable and sustainable proposal, growing and diversifying its programs and influencing social and governmental perceptions and practices towards people living with HIV and AIDS
